Chris DeWitt, JD
Leveraging 11 years in criminal litigation as a prosecutor, primarily in Tarrant County, Chris brings his deep litigation experience to civil practice at Atwood & McCall. Chris received his Juris Doctorate from Baylor University School of Law.
His tenure as a prosecutor was marked by an exceptional record: Chris tried nearly 65 cases to a verdict before a jury, with a 90% success rate that included securing multiple life sentences. As the Chief Prosecutor for the 485th District Court, Chris concluded his career having successfully resolved thousands of cases through plea negotiations, from drug possession to murder. Chris joins Atwood & McCall, building on more than a decade of courtroom experience and dedication to fighting for our clients with the same tenacity he demonstrated for the people of Tarrant County.
Beyond the courtroom, Chris’ passions include exploring the world seeking out the best local cuisine in every new destination, cherishing time with his friends and family, and cheering on the Green Bay Packers.
