AUSTIN F. PENNINGTON, JD

Board Certified in Civil Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, a distinction held by only a small percentage of Texas attorneys, Austin brings vetted expertise, courtroom acumen, and an intuitive ability to anticipate opposing counsel. Board certification demonstrates Austin’s high-level trial expertise and commitment to excellence, earned through proven experience, peer review, and a rigorous examination.

Combining high-stakes trial advocacy with transactional real estate proficiency, Austin provides strategic foresight, navigating complex disputes with precision and an unwavering commitment to maintaining the highest professional standards in representing his clients. When significant financial or business consequences are on the line, Austin’s rigorous, peer-vetted courtroom expertise delivers results.

Austin attended Texas Tech University where he graduated with a J.D., M.B.A., and B.B.A. in Finance. Upon graduation, Austin worked for a large Dallas law firm focusing on business fraud and negligence cases, as well as contract disputes. During this time, he gained valuable experience navigating the courtroom and counseling clients on approaching litigation with the company’s strategic business plans in mind. He also spent much of his free time consulting small businesses and start-up companies on their goals, business plans, and strategic positioning to grow their companies. This valuable experience gives Austin the insight to both advise company clients on their day-to-day legal needs, as well as negotiate or go to battle for them when faced with a business dispute.

After only two years of practicing law, Austin determined the best path forward was to establish his own law firm to focus on legal affairs that really mattered to him. Because he did this so early in his career, he was able to collaborate with diverse clients spanning a multitude of industries, including:

  • Real Estate Transactions
  • Construction Defect
  • Contract Disputes
  • Investor Fraud
  • Business Partner Breakups

Austin now brings this experience to the Atwood & McCall team. He has successfully defended clients through his investigation and analysis of contracts and agreements. His history defending these various fights and disputes has given him the aptitude to better advise and serve his clients when drafting new contracts and agreements. Austin developed a niche for designing unique strategies to attack, prevent, or defend each case.

Outside of the office, Austin spends time developing and teaching goal setting and leadership training for young adults. His enthusiasm for working with others to solve problems is only outweighed by his obsession with Texas Tech Red Raider Football.
